More than you could ever want to know about Jason Coker...

I'm a husband, a father of 4, and the chief geek in my household. I was born and raised in southern California, lived in the mountains of Utah for 11 years, and then Columbus, Ohio for 4 years. Now were back in California and settled in the cool little town of Oceanside.

My wife Jenell and I started twoshirts.org as an experiment in cultivating a community of generosity in Columbus. Since January of 2008 we've grown to over 1200 people in 35 states, and we're constantly amazed by the goodness and generosity of the people we meet through this unique community.

Twoshirts users have thought about Jason Coker and say:

I contacted Norett to see if I had messed anything up, but I'm not sure if she is the right person to contact for that. Is there any way you could help me get all of this straightened out? Thanks, lillimetz

  • lillimetz said: Hey Jason, James Christoferson mentioned twoshirts from the pulpit the other day. I'm so blessed that he did. What an awesome thing God has used you to set up! I was wondering if there might be any way to "flag" items that are small enough to mail so people form opposite sides of the county could minister to one another, just a thought… Thank you so much for this ministry God is using it in incredible ways! • mdavies700 said: Hi Jason, Not sure if you remember me but I attended the Vineyard while you were there. You prayed for and with me more times than I can count and helped me through more than you know. I went to another church for a while and came back to find out you were gone. It is not quite the same without you but I am glad to see you are doing well. What you and your wife have started is wonderful (not that I am surprised). Anyways, just wanted to say hey. God Bless, Melinda Davies
  • sarahchristoph said: Just wanted to shout out a Thank you to you and your wife Jenell for starting twoshirts! I have already made a new friend from my church after meeting up with her to give her my item. I really think this service provides a great way for communities to get together and help each other. I have high hopes for Living Hope in that I see so many in our church who view and desire our community to be much more than a term of location for church or town, but the reality and result of our lives connecting and serving. Thanks again for doing this! I'll be sure to spread the word.
  • kitkat09 said: We sure do Miss Yall. Hope things are good. Happy Thanksgiving &Happy Holidays to all Yall and wanted to say we're still attending the Vineyard(Thanks to yall) Going on 9 months now faithfully..!!!But still miss yall all the same . Love Yall,Kat

I am part of the new leadership council at GCV. It would be great if you could help shed some light on some of the details of the important work that needs to continue. If you could contact me and allow me to pick your brain, I will greatly appreciate it. Please pray for us as we take God's love and generosity to those in need! Thanks! Kim Hill khill@psigroupinc.com

  • columbusgal said: it was! thanks so much! I also wanted to thank you for creating such an awesome place for us all to come together in. I love the site and hope it grows in leaps and bounds. This has certainly restored my faith in man kind. Thank you for all you do!!!
  • Jason Coker said: should be fixed, check it now. thanks!
  • columbusgal said: I was just told about this site today and have already given and received items. I am lost as to posting a Need/Want post. I found how to make an offer for an item to give away but in "My Twoshirts Menu" it only lists: view profile, post item to give, forum topic, my items, share story, invite friends and log out. I read there should be something that says there should be one for need/want but it is not there....What do I do??? How do I make a post for something I am looking for???
  • NSVark said: Jason- Greetings!! I am very interested in your web-site created from the demand generated by the absolute need revealed as you launched twoshirts.org in your area. Currently I am working with my church, Northstar Vineyard in Loveland OH with creating a site that would edify the church's members and create equality amongst the people--sharing the overflow of harvest much of us experience. A lot of fancy words that essentially mean--we have a lot of blessed people and some people in need that need to share their resources. Not just things, skills too. We are strong in loving the marginalized of our community, but there are people within our community that have been marginalized by the economy--and quite frankly, on THAT front, things look bleak. Long story--longer....I would be very interested in chatting with you. Email is fine at first (nsvark@yahoo.com) so you know I am not some quack (well that is relative, I am sure and debatable)--but again, I would love to know the path you've walked to avoid the potholes myself. Blessing, Stephanie

  • noahsmom06 said: Hi Jason, I just joined the site recently and am trying to get some other local people interested... but in the meantime, I go to the Vineyard church out here (in Ft. Collins, CO) with my boyfriend who's a member there, and I think that it would be an excellent idea for you to contact someone at the church here, because I think they would probably be quite supportive of the efforts of this site, and it would be a great way to increase membership and get a good group and a good ministry going here in northern Colorado. Just a suggestion! ;) And also, I am a HyenaCart seller and forum user (and occasional buyer, when I have the funds and the need), and I wanted to let you know that I just found out about the thread there regarding the site, read the whole thing, and was very impressed with your responses and the way you handled the situation. I responded to the thread saying that I had joined the site, and that I strongly encourage others from HC to give the site another look and consider joining as well. HyenaCart is for the most part a very "green" community, and I hope that some of the people who read that thread will reconsider joining Twoshirts, as it is a great concept that I think many of them would support had they learned about it under different circumstances.

  • mbender07 said: Hello Jason. I was one of the HyenaCart owners that was mass spammed by one of your team members. I would like to forward you all of the communication from him as I highly did not appreciate the things he said, nor would I think you would be happy with how he has represented this site. Ironically enough, I found no email to be able to directly contact you from this site, so I am asking that you please contact me privately about this. I apologize for even having to leave a public comment in regards to this as it is not my style to publicly air things out, but I know of no other way to contact you. Thanks.
