Thanks To Everyone For A Great First Year at Twoshirts.org!

We want to thank everyone for making it an incredible first year at Twoshirts.org. In 2008 we grew to 1450 members in 35 states who gave each other over 1300 free items, from baby supplies, to bicycles, to computers, to clothing.

But Twoshirts isn't just about people giving to one another; we're an activist community. Twoshirts members have gathered winter coats for people in need and clothing for local non-profit's; some have gone to Haiti to build homes and establish music schools; we've collected food for food pantry's, and, now, much-needed items for homeless teenagers. And as a community we've contributed over $700 to three different non-profits fighting poverty. It's been a great year!

We're simply learning to live more generously because we believe doing so will make the world a genuinely better place. As the year winds down amid difficult economic times, it's more important than ever for us to spread this message. Please consider getting more involved in one of the following ways:

+ Tell all your friends, family and coworkers about Twoshirts.org: The more people are involved the more effective it is. You can even use the invite feature to send them an e-mail invitation.

+ Post as many items to give away as you can. We all have stuff we don't need, but somebody out there needs it, and the more items are available, the better our gift economy works.

+ Please consider contributing just $5 per month to keep Twoshirts.org up and running. It takes time and money to operate this site, and every little bit helps. And don't forget, 10% goes to support non-profits fighting poverty.

Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays to everyone, and thanks again for demonstrating the power of generosity this year!

Sincerely,
Jason Coker
